Home Shrine

Having a alter is important to me. It helps centers my Spiritual Connection to the Divine powers. The Tapestry that is above my altar is the representation of the world tree or Yggdrasil. On the outer edges of the tapestry, you can see Mjolnir, connecting me to the Norse Pantheon. Upon the altar are statues of Odin and Hel, my patron deities. On the left near Odin are my Runes, an artisan in Florida burned the runes on Oak. The runes were a gift from my past Coven many moons ago, and I still cherish them. Center left is my incense holder for offerings. Rear Center on the altar is my candle holder. I picked this up at a thrift store. It was hand carved by someone representing a flower. To the Right is a Ceramic Mortar representing the well.

Upgrades I want to do in the future, I first wrote this, in the early days of my Dedicant Path, and most of the upgrades I wanted to do where done, it’s amazing the development of one’s Home Shrine takes throughout time. There are a few things I would like to add though, mainly I would like to build a outdoor one so I might have a real fire for the hearth. I have the impressions Altars are always changing as the practitioner grows in their faith, so i am positive mine will as well in the future.
