Ostara

Ostara or know in the German Folklore as Ēostre, is the time for renewal and rebirth of all. Ostara is the actual marker that spring is here an warmer and sunnier days have come.  Many Religions celebrate throughout time Ostara, for the Christians, they symbolize it as Easter, where Jesus rises from the dead. But for the Germanic Norse they celebrated it with Freya, who abandons Midgard during the cold months an returns in this time to restore nature’s Beauty. Ostara gets its name Eostre, from the Hare Goddess Eostre, hares are the sacred animal of Ostara. Ostara is the time to plant Seedlings and prepare for growing, both plants and flowers but also as a person.  When I was growing up, I celebrated Ostara by coloring Eggs, finding them after my father hid them, and receiving a Easter Basket that morning with lots of candy.
